Some Useful Programs When You Are In "Trouble"

This is my first post in English. I will explain some terms and how they are important for you. I will also give you some hints on how to get rid of the nuisances that will be discussed in this post.
First of all, infections: Viruses, spyware, adware, worms, trojans and more.
Viruses are computer programs that normally are hidden within other program and that may produce copies of themselves and introduce them into other programs, performing malicious actions.
Spyware, as its name implies, is software that gets installed in computers without permission and transmits information about the computer usage activities over the Internet.
Adware is like spyware, but it makes a lot of annoying pop up windows surface and slow down your computer.
Worms are small computer programs that contain and replicate themselves, invading computers on a network and destructing information.
Trojans disguise themselves as useful computer programs, but they contain hidden instructions that, when activated, perform illegal actions (such as destroying data files). They are comparable to viruses.
There are several ways to get rid of those obnoxious pieces of software:
1) The most used way by beginning, unknowledgeable PC technicians is to format the hard drive and install everything again.
2) Use programs to delete the pieces of software that are installed on your PC. Programs like Lavasoft Adware, SpyBot Search & Destroy, JavaCool SpywareBlaster, Grisoft AVG Antivirus, Trend Micro HijackThis and Malwarebytes MBAM are some of the examples that I personally use. The installation and use of any of these programs is recommended in "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode with Networking" (press F8 while booting up, before the Windows logo and then select either "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode with Networking").
3) Install a more secure, stable operating system, like Linux. I personally use Slackware.
4) Throw your PC away and buy a new one. Do not forget to throw the 42 inch plasma TV with it, please. Just let me know when and where you will throw it away, so I can get it and add it to my collection of refurbished PCs.
5) Let aliens abduct you and teach you the secrets of where NOT to go, so your computer does not get any infection at all.
6) Last, but not least, pay attention to the sites where you are navigating. Normally, if you go to a site that hosts illegal programs or are trying to do something illegal, some crooks take advantage of that situation and try to install (and most of the times succeed at it) those pieces of programs on your PC.
